Most legal content online falls into one of two traps. Either it is too technical to be useful to anyone outside a law firm, or it is so general that it could apply to any company, anywhere.
This space is meant to sit between those two. It draws on what a General Counsel actually spends their time on inside a company — labour and employment risk, board-level governance questions, contracts that matter, and the everyday judgment calls that don't show up in a textbook.
A few things to expect from this blog:
- Practical, not theoretical. Each article should leave you able to do something differently, not just know something differently.
- Business-first. We start from what a company is trying to achieve, then work out the safest way to get there — the same approach we bring to client work.
- Board-friendly. Written in the language a board or leadership team actually uses, not legal shorthand.
